Oyster Dressing Recipe

Ingredients 24 ounce loaf of soft white bread cubed (I love French bread for this) 8 tablespoons butter 1 medium onion chopped 2 jalapeno peppers chopped (use bell pepper for less spicy) 2 stalks celery chopped 4 cloves garlic chopped or more as desired 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning blend or use Creole seasonings

Salt and pepper to taste 2 cups fresh oysters with their liquor 1.5 cups chicken broth 2 eggs beaten 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese ¼ cup parsley + more for garnish

Preheat the oven to 135 degrees Celsius (275 degrees Fahrenheit). Take the cut bread and place it on two baking trays. Stir occasionally and bake for 30 minutes or until dry marginally.

Hence here is no much toasting required meaning that, they just need dehydration. This makes sure that the bread contains more moisture when drying them out. After this keep aside.

Meanwhile, cook the butter in a saucepan over medium heat till it softens. Add celery, peppers, and onions while stirring all together. Wait for five minutes or wait until the vegetables are getting tender.

Include garlic plus Cajun seasoning besides salt and pepper then heat for one more minute before removing from high temperature.

Next, pour the bread cubes into a large mixing bowl along with buttery vegetable mixture, oysters with their liquor, chicken broth whisked eggs half cup of parsley and parmesan cheese.

Then transfer stuffing to a lightly oiled large baking dish. Bake for forty-five minutes until top is browned crisply.
