Old-Fashioned Pancakes Recipe

In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, egg, and melted butter.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Scoop 1/4 cup of batter onto the pan for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake, then flip and cook for an additional minute.

Repeat with remaining batter. Serve hot with butter and syrup.

For extra fluffiness, separate the egg yolk and white and beat the white until stiff peaks form before folding into the batter.

Add vanilla extract or cinnamon for extra flavor. Use a cast iron skillet for a crispy exterior. Top with fresh fruit or whipped cream for a decadent twist.
