Old Bay Seafood Boil Recipe

Ingredients: – 1 pound large shrimp, deveined and shell-on – 1 pound crab legs – 1 pound baby potatoes – 4 ears of corn, shucked and halved – 1 onion, quartered – 4 cloves garlic, minced – 2 lemons, halved – 4 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning – Salt to taste – Optional: melted butter for dipping

Instructions: 1. Prep the Seafood: Rinse the shrimp and crab legs under cold water. Pat them dry with paper towels and set aside.

Prepare the Potatoes: In a large pot, add enough water to cover the potatoes. Season the water generously with salt and bring it to a boil.

Add Aromatics: Once the potatoes are partially cooked, add the quartered onion, minced garlic, and halved lemons to the pot.

Incorporate the Seafood: Carefully add the crab legs and halved corn ears to the pot. Let everything simmer for another 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Introduce the Shrimp: Gently add the shrimp to the pot, making sure they are submerged in the flavorful broth.

Check for Doneness: Test the potatoes with a fork to ensure they are fully cooked and tender. Likewise, ensure the crab legs are heated through.

Serve and Enjoy: Using a slotted spoon or spider strainer, transfer the seafood boil to a large serving platter or directly onto a newspaper-lined table.

Serve with optional melted butter for dipping and extra Old Bay seasoning on the side. Enjoy this mouthwatering feast with friends and family!
