Moist Chocolate Cake

Ingredients – 2 cups all-purpose flour – 2 cups sugar – 2 teaspoons baking soda – 3/4 cup baking cocoa – 1 teaspoon salt

– 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1 cup canola oil – 1 cup brewed coffee – 1 cup whole milk – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

favorite icing: – 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour – 1 cup whole milk – 1/2 cup butter, softened – 1/2 cup shortening

– 1 cup sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 2 to 4 tablespoons sprinkles, optional

Instructions: 1. Heat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them. 2. In a big bowl, mix together the dry ingredients like flour, sugar, etc.

3. Add the oil, coffee, and milk to the dry mix and stir well. 4. Crack in the eggs and add vanilla, then mix it all up for about 3 minutes until it's smooth. 5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans.

6. Bake them in the oven for around 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick stuck into the center comes out clean. 7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.

8. While the cakes are cooling, make the frosting. Mix flour and milk in a pot until smooth, then cook it on the stove until it thickens. Let it cool in the fridge. 9. In a big bowl, beat together butter, shortening, sugar, and vanilla until it's creamy.

10. Add the cooled milk mixture and beat for another 10 minutes. 11. If you want, mix in some sprinkles. 12. Spread the frosting between the cake layers and all over the top and sides of the cake.
