Juicy Roasted Chicken Recipe

Ingredients: 1 whole chicken (about 4-5 pounds) 2 tablespoons olive oil 2 teaspoons salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 lemon (halved) 4 cloves garlic (minced)

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). While the oven is preheating, remove the chicken from its packaging and pat it dry with paper towels. This step helps ensure a crispy skin.

In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to create a seasoning blend.

Rub the seasoning blend all over the chicken, making sure to coat it evenly. If desired, you can also season the cavity of the chicken with some of the seasoning blend.

Place the halved lemon and minced garlic inside the cavity of the chicken. These aromatics will infuse the chicken with extra flavor as it roasts.

Tie the legs of the chicken together with kitchen twine and tuck the wings underneath the body. This helps the chicken cook evenly and prevents the wings and legs from burning.

Transfer the seasoned chicken to a roasting pan or baking dish, breast side up. If you have a roasting rack, place the chicken on it to allow for even air circulation around the bird.

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for approximately 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.

Once the chicken is cooked through and golden brown, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.

Garnish the roasted chicken with fresh herbs, if desired, and serve it alongside your favorite side dishes.
