Hot Milk Cake

Ingredients – 4 large eggs, room temperature – 2 cups sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour

– 2-1/4 teaspoons baking powder – 1-1/4 cups 2% milk – 10 tablespoons butter, cubed

In a big bowl, beat the eggs with a mixer on high speed for about 5 minutes until they become thick and turn a lemony color.

Slowly add sugar to the eggs while continuing to beat until the mixture becomes light and fluffy. Then mix in the vanilla

In another bowl, mix together the flour and baking powder. Add this mixture to the batter little by little, beating on low speed until everything is smooth.

In a small saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter melts. Slowly add this mixture to the batter, and beat just until everything is combined.

Bake in the oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
