Homemade Blueberry Pie Recipe

Ingredients: – 4 cups fresh blueberrie – 1/2 cup granulated sugar – 1/4 cup all-purpose flour – 1 tablespoon cornstarch – 1 tablespoon lemon juice – 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon – 1/4 teaspoon salt – 2 pie crusts (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9-inch pie dish by lining it with one pie crust, letting the excess hang over the edges.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh blueberries, granulated sugar, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, and salt.

Pour the blueberry filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading it out evenly. Dot the top of the filling with small pieces of butter.

Place the second pie crust over the filling. Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges to seal the pie.

Optionally, brush the top crust with beaten egg to give the pie a golden finish.

Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips and bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.

Once baked, remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.

Enjoy your Homemade Blueberry Pie warm or at room temperature, optionally topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
