Fresh Tomato Soup

Ingredients – 4 cups chopped fresh tomatoe – 2 cups chicken broth – 4 cloves garlic – 1 large slice of onion

– 2 tablespoons butter – 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour – 2 teaspoons white sugar, or to taste – 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste

DIRECTIONS  1. Combine tomatoes, broth, garlic, onion; simmer. 2. Strain mixture through food mill. 3. Make roux with butter and flour.

4. Gradually whisk in tomato mixture 5. Season with salt and sugar. 6.. Serve piping hot for a comforting meal..

7. Garnish with fresh basil if desired. 8. Pair with crusty bread for a delightful experience.
