Egg Drop Soup Recipe

Ingredients: – 4 cups chicken broth – 2 egg – 2 green onions, thinly sliced – 1 tablespoon soy sauce – 1 teaspoon sesame oil – Salt and pepper to taste – Optional: 1/4 cup frozen peas or corn (for added texture and color)

Instructions: 1. Prepare the Broth: In a medium-sized pot, bring the chicken broth to a gentle boil over medium heat.

Season the Broth: Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil. Taste the broth and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper according to your preference.

Beat the Eggs: In a small bowl, whisk the eggs until well-beaten.

Create Egg Ribbons: Once the broth is gently boiling, use a fork or chopsticks to stir the broth in a circular motion. While stirring, slowly pour the beaten eggs into the pot.

Add Green Onions: Toss in the thinly sliced green onions and optional peas or corn for extra flavor and texture.

Simmer and Serve: Let the soup simmer for another minute or two to allow all the flavors to meld together.

Serve Hot: Ladle the Egg Drop Soup into bowls and garnish with additional green onions if desired. Serve piping hot and enjoy this comforting bowl of goodness!
