Classic Rice Krispie Treats Recipe

Ingredients: – 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal – 10 oz (about 6 cups) marshmallows – 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions: 1. Begin by greasing a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.

In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

Once the butter is melted, add the marshmallows to the saucepan. Stir constantly until the marshmallows are completely melted and smooth.

Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until it is evenly coated with the melted marshmallow mixture.

Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Use a buttered spatula or your hands (lightly greased with butter) to press the mixture firmly and evenly into the dish.

Allow the Rice Krispie treats to cool and set for at least 30 minutes before cutting into squares.

Once cooled and set, cut into squares using a sharp knife. Serve and enjoy!
