Classic Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe

Ingredients: – 1 cup creamy peanut butter – 1 cup granulated sugar – 1 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/2 teaspoon baking soda – 1/4 teaspoon salt – Additional granulated sugar for rolling (optional)

Instructions: 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, granulated sugar, egg, vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt.

(Optional) If desired, you can roll the dough into small balls and then roll them in additional granulated sugar for a sweet and slightly crunchy exterior.

Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie to allow for spreading during baking.

Gently press down on each dough ball with a fork, creating a crisscross pattern on top of each cookie.

Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.

Once baked, remove the cookies from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
