Cheesy Smash Burger Recipe

INGREDIENTS 1.5 lb ground beef 2 tsp salt 3 tbsp butter, sliced 4 sesame seed buns 8 slices American cheese 1 vine tomato ¼ white onion, sliced into rings 4 Romaine lettuce leaves, shredded For the Sauce: 3 tbsp ketchup 3 tbsp yellow mustard 3 tbsp mayonnaise 3 tbsp sweet relish

Prepare the ground beef by seasoning it with salt and forming it into 8 equal-sized patties. 

Place the patties in the air fryer basket and cook at 400°F for 12-14 minutes until golden brown and crispy. 

Top each patty with a slice of butter and continue air frying for an additional 3-5 minutes. 

Once cooked, add a slice of American cheese to each patty and melt it in the air fryer for another few minutes. 

Warm the hamburger buns in the air fryer for 2 minutes while preparing the burger sauce. 

Combine ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, and relish to make the burger sauce. 

Assemble the burgers by spreading sauce on each bun, layering with lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheesy patties, then topping with the bun.
