Better Than Takeout Shrimp Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients: 1. 1 cup of white rice 2. 200g of shrimp, peeled and deveined 3. 2 eggs, beaten 4. 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil 5. 1 cup of mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, and corn) 6. 2 cloves of garlic, minced 7. 3 tablespoons of soy sauce 8. 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce 9. 1 teaspoon of sesame oil 10. Salt and pepper to taste

Cook the white rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, set aside to cool. It's best to use day-old rice for fried rice recipes.

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beaten eggs and scramble until they are fully cooked.

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Add the mixed vegetables to the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

Return the cooked rice to the skillet along with the scrambled eggs and cooked shrimp. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
